The 3rd Tropical Fruit Festival organized by Alanya Municipality this year concluded with colorful events that attracted great interest. Held in the area behind the Municipality Building, the festival saw participation from locals, local producers, renowned chefs, and social media influencers. Throughout the event, visitors had the opportunity to learn about tropical fruits and receive information on nutrition and zero-waste kitchens from expert dietitians and chefs. Dietitian Hatice Nur Ege and famous chefs offered workshops on healthy eating, the importance of antioxidants, and tropical recipes.
On the final day of the festival, Chef Nevin Us’s workshop on “Tropical Fruit Breads” and Eyüp Kemal Sevinç’s workshop on the use of tropical flavors in Turkish cuisine drew significant interest. Additionally, the festival featured exciting moments with the “Heaviest Dragon Fruit” and “Heaviest Avocado” competitions. The winners of the contests received their prizes from Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik. Mayor Özçelik expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the festival and the participating citizens, emphasizing the festival’s role in showcasing Alanya’s agricultural richness.
