The concerts of “Musical Tones Rising from Historical Places” organized by Alanya Municipality took place on October 18-19-20 at the Bedesten in Alanya Castle. While there was significant interest in the concerts held in the historical bazaar, on the first day, the Contemporary Sounds Turkish Music Community performed; on the second day, the Mandolin and Baglama Community of ALKÜ Faculty of Education’s Music Education Department took the stage; and finally, Trio Bel Canto, featuring Öncü Uçar, Yağızcan Keskin, and İlter Vurucu, performed. The artists, who gave magnificent concerts to audiences of all ages, received standing ovations for their performances.
AÇIKALIN: “WE WANT TO HIGHLIGHT ALANYA’S HISTORICAL PLACES”
Abdurrahman Açıkalın, Advisor to the Mayor of Alanya, made the following statement regarding the concerts at historical sites: “As Alanya Municipality, our priority, in collaboration with the institutions we work with, is to highlight and promote Alanya’s historical sites and to unite the acoustics of these places with the spirit of music. This weekend, history and music truly embraced and integrated. Our valuable artist friends presented unforgettable performances to us music lovers who came to listen. I would like to thank both our artists and all the people who came to listen, separately.”
After the concerts, Advisor Açıkalın and Municipal Council Member İrem Yunusoğlu presented various gifts to the artists to express their gratitude.
