The Alanya Municipality is organizing the 19th Alanya International Tourism and Art Festival for the 19th time in this year. The theme of this year’s International Tourism and Art Festival held between June 15-17th is “Ottoman Alanya”. At the same time, the Festival is held also under the meaning of Russian and Turkish friendship year.
During 3 days of the 19th International Tourism and Art Festival at the evening of June 15th, after the performance of Burak Yeter the Diva of the Turkish folk music Bülent Ersoy will perform. At the evening of June 16th after the performance of Pascal Nouma the singer Yalın will perform. After the performance of the famous DJ Haluk Sarıtaş on June 17th, the Super Star Ajda Pekkan will meet with the citizens with free concert. In addition, the visitors are welcome to see the art and cultural goods of the Ottoman period at the stands and exhibitions to be opened every day. At the festival the customs and traditions and cultures that are forgotten are reminded and sent to the future generations. The cuisine culture of Alanya will be presented to the visitors of the festival. Marbling, tile, glass blowing and jewelry, all of the Turkish culture will be presented at the festival, in addition to above-mentioned in cooperation with the Antalya Maturation Institute a fashion show with “Ottoman” theme will be held. Goods from silk cocoon made at the Alanya Municipality workshops will also be exhibited at the stands. On the other hand, Polish and Latvian representatives will also be able to exhibit their own country-specific promotional materials by opening a stand at the festival. The Festival will also host delegations from 5 countries Russia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Germany, of which 7 sister cities with 73 person delegations will also attended the Festival. The Consulate Generals of Russia, Poland and Latvia will also participate in the program. The Festival is held with support and sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO), the Granada Luxury Hotel, the Alanya Photographers Club (AFSAK), the Antalya Maturation Institute and the Topkapı Palace Museum Library, as well as Radio D, Dream Turk, Dream TV and Slow Türk.
