30th Alanya International Triathlon Races Have Started


The 30th Alanya International Triathlon races started today at 09.00 in the morning with the Stars Festival Races at Galip Dere Beach.

The start of the race was given by Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, President of the European Triathlon Federation, Ranato Bertrandi, European Representative of the World Triathlon Board, and Bayram Bayram Yalçınkaya, the President of the Turkish Triathlon Federation.

APPROXIMATELY THOUSAND ATHLETES PARTICIPATE

Within the 30th anniversary of Alanya Triathlon, the Star Festival Races, Paratriathlon World Cup, Age Groups Turkey Championship and Alanya 30th Anniversary Nostalgia Race are held.

“WE HAVE 30 YEARS OF PRIDE”

In the first day of races the Stars Festival Semi-Finals among women and men were held. The top 20 athletes who surpassed their opponents qualified to compete in the Stars Festival Finals on Saturday, October 2nd. Speaking about the organization, the Mayor Yücel said, “We are holding the 30th Triathlon Races this year. We host in Alanya approximately a thousand athletes from 41 countries of the world, together with their teachers and families. It is one of two organizations in the world that has been running continuously for 30 years. We are justifiably proud”, he added.

THE WORLD CUP PARATRIATHLON

On Friday, October 1st, the Paratriathlon World Cup races will start at 10:00. 41 athletes who do not recognize any obstacles will compete fiercely. The award ceremony of the World Cup will be held at 14.00 in the event area behind the Alanya Municipality Building.
